Long time since...

So it's been a long time since I posted, mostly because I am practically wallowing in the fact that our schedule/deadlines are not choking us anymore. I actually leave here at regular time now, which feels strange, though it's still dark when I get home. It's been nice really, I can finally get back in the gym regularly, so I'm feeling pretty good.

Had a fun weekend, Friday afternoon at 4:00 is the perfect time to make plans for the next afternoon. We decided to get together and have no plan, which actually ended up for the best because we did more in that evening than I can remember. Here are the events of the day: explore the old part of town, wander around an old church and take pictures, eat at a pizza joint, meet some random people at a coffee shop and had a nice long conversation with them, discussed the possibility of visiting a cemetary to ghost hunt, listened to a play reading by Robert (that he had written the night before, 11 pages!), participated in a play reading, then played the forever fun Munchkin until about 3am.

Not all of the weekend was THAT enjoyable though, we packed more boxes for the move on the 25th, so the apartment looks a lot like a warehouse right now. For those that have never moved before, here's the rule: No matter how prepared you are, you will always need a box in a shape or size that you don't already have. Period. That's how it works.

We are almost exactly 1 week away from our walk-through, so things are getting pretty exciting...changes in the house occur almost daily. I'm absolutely amazed by the fact that they only have 1 week left to finish, but it looks like there's well more than a weeks' worth of work to do....I guess their last step is some sort of arcane magic or something...we shall see. Bottom line: we are really pleased with the home building experience and can't wait to get moved in.
