I don't really know what to call this post so I will sit here and type until I think of something....or maybe not...

I guess since I own this blog, I should make more of an effort to update it from time to time so everyone can read the boring details of my life. This week has been like any other, a little boring at the moment but no real crisis to speak of. Saw Clerks 2 this past weekend with a group of about 54937539....actually, make that 18. Easily one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, check it out!

Went to Guitar Center this weekend for the second time in as many weeks and I came to an epiphany: it would not do at all for me to go in there with a spare $5000 to kick around. Despite Guitar Center's evil reputation among internet forums, I actually don't mind the place all that much. At the VERY least, they don't bug me while I'm poorly playing 3 chords through an amp that's worth more than my car. I did get a chance to play a guitar that I had been wanting to play for years and never got the chance: a Parker Fly

Yeah, it's strange looking, but to me it's the best looking, best playing guitar I've ever laid hands on, and if price was no concern I would totally own one (this one I played was $1500 USED...like I said "worth more than my car"). Ahh, maybe one day.

Well, time to get back to it. What exactly "it" is remains to be seen, but I promise when I find out, you'll be the 2nd to know.

Another Happy Birthday

So the events of this past Saturday night were pretty much the same as the events of Mike's birthday night, except that I could see straight on the way home (no, I wasn't driving in either situation).

Funny situation from Saturday night: 5 people go in one vehicle, all ordering drinks at the bar, and midway through drink #4, we make the following realization:

How are we getting home tonight? We didn't really follow proper designated driver protocol, did we?

Fortunately the question was answered several hours later.

The band was very good, though I will admit I would rather have the guitarists guitar and amps sooner than I'd like to see the band again. They did do some interesting music, and some interesting medleys as well. How one band can go from Funky Cold Medina to a medley consisting of Paradise City and Sweet Home Alabama eludes me, but it kept the energy (and volume) in the place pretty high, so a good time was had by all.

Fyi, every day since the kayaking trip has been a total blur; if anyone can remember anything that has happened, please let me know :)

Just Like Sea Monkies

Wednesday = Monday, that's all that can be said about today. Today is coming off of one of the busiest weekends I can remember. To recap...
Friday - typical work day, then I worked out, and went to be reletively early (that is to say, before midnight)
Saturday - grocery shopping (for Sunday), a trip to Home Depot, yard work, then went with some friends to see Superman. Pretty good movie, overall I'd say it was above average.
Sunday - another trip to Home Depot (one more this week and we'll probaby get our own VIP line), then a big cookout with friends in the afternoon. very fun!
Monday - left at 6:00am on a trip to Six Flags. It was HOT, but fun. Goliath was exactly as they describe it, a "giant among coasters". One word: wow.
Tuesday - tried to rest, visited the family and had lunch. It was a mostly relaxing day except for the travelling.

So yes, it was a busy weekend. I have my fingers crossed that this coming weekend won't be so crowded with stuff. But we shall see.

Yes, just like sea monkies...
